Privacy and deleting your account

Gelim keeps what you make — chats, canvases, recordings — so it's on all your devices, and sends only what you choose to the models. Here's what's kept, for how long, and how to remove it.

What's kept, and for how long

WhatHow long
Chats, canvases, transcripts, action resultsUntil you delete them
A recording's audio30 days after its transcript is ready; audio never transcribed stays until you delete it
Anything you deleteIn Recently deleted for 30 days, then gone
Cloud clipboardThe newest 100 MB; delete an item and it's gone everywhere
Requests and answers at the model providers' gatewayAbout 24 hours
Files you add to a chat in the browserDeleted 10 minutes after their text is read
A recording's public linkUntil you turn it off or replace it

Chats and clips are sealed with a key of your own. Gelim's operators see counts and sizes, never what you wrote. Usage is counts and minutes, never content.

What's sent, and where

  • Answers come from OpenAI, Anthropic or Google, depending on the model; transcription from Soniox in the EU; web search and deep research from Parallel.
  • A Mac folder canvas sends only the excerpts a question needs; the files stay on your Mac.
  • The keyboard sends only the text you select, or up to 700 characters around the cursor, and only when you tap an action.
  • Passwords, one-time codes and files never go to the cloud clipboard.

Delete what's on one device

Settings → Privacy & data → Delete everything on this iPhone removes unsent audio, audio copies and keyboard clips. Your account stays.

Delete your account

  1. Open account.gelim.ai → Settings → Delete your account. On the iPhone you can also go to Settings → Privacy & data → Delete your account.
  2. Type DELETE MY ACCOUNT and confirm.

Access ends at once and your content is destroyed. Records of charges are kept, as the law requires.
