Actions in the keyboard
Select some text, tap an action, and Gelim shows you the result before anything changes. Insert it, replace your selection, or copy it.
What you need
- The Gelim keyboard with Allow Full Access on (set it up).
- Gelim for iPhone signed in with your Gelim Account, and credit in it.
1. Select the text
Select what you want to work on. If you select nothing, the action uses the text around the cursor, up to 700 characters.
2. Tap an action
Tap a chip in Quick or My actions. A preview replaces the keys and the answer appears as it's written. It says Ready — nothing inserted yet when it's done.
3. Insert, replace or copy
Tap Replace selection to swap your text for the result, or Insert when nothing was selected. Tap Copy to keep it for later, or ✕ to close without changing anything.
4. Undo if you change your mind
After it goes in, the bar shows Undo for 8 seconds, or until you type. Tap it and your original text comes back.

Arrange your keyboard
Open Gelim and go to Settings → Keyboard.
- Quick slots: choose 1–8 actions and an emoji for each. Drag to reorder, or tap Add quick slot.
- Keyboard tabs: rename, reorder or remove tabs, and reorder the actions inside a tab.
- Action library: opens Settings → Actions. Each action's switch and model are your account's, the same on all your devices; a keyboard action's editor shows where it sits in this iPhone's keyboard.
Make your own action
In Gelim, open Settings → Actions, tap New action, and choose Keyboard under Where does it run?. Give it a name and instructions (up to 16,000 characters), choose a model or leave Automatic, and pick the shape of the answer: Prose, List or Table. Your actions appear in the keyboard's My actions tab.
Limits and notes
- If the text changed while the action ran, Gelim asks you to run it again rather than insert into the wrong place.
- Try again and Continue each start a new request and use credit.
- Actions that work on images run in the Gelim app, not in the keyboard.
- Each action uses its own model, or Automatic. See Models.
