Getting started
Go from nothing to your first answer and your first recording in a few minutes. You'll create a Gelim Account, install Gelim where you work, and try the launcher.
What you need
- An email address.
- A Mac with macOS 15 or later, an iPhone, or any computer with a browser.
1. Create your Gelim Account
Go to account.gelim.ai and choose Create an account. Enter your email and a password of at least 12 characters, then open the link Gelim emails you.
Every account starts as a personal one. Opening a team comes at launch; teammates then join by invitation. See Personal or team.
2. Install Gelim
Download Gelim from gelim.ai/mac, drag it to Applications, and open it.
Gelim for iPhone is coming to the App Store; gelim.ai/iphone will link to it.
Open gelim.ai/app in any browser. Nothing to install.
Add Gelim from gelim.ai/chrome to record meetings in a tab.
3. Sign in
Choose Sign in with your Gelim Account. Sign-in opens in your browser and returns to Gelim. If your company has set up team sign-in, entering your work email takes you to Microsoft.
4. Ask your first question
Type in Message Gelim… and send. Search is on, so Gelim can look things up on the web; links under the answer show its Sources. Your chat is saved under Today, on every device.
Press ⌘N for a new chat. Chips above the composer offer what you have open: your selection, the Finder selection, the Safari page. Click one to attach it.
Home is a new chat. Tap Add for a photo or file, or Context for a recording or your clipboard.
Type on the home page, or drop files onto the composer.
5. Make your first recording
Press ⌘⇧R, choose Microphone only or Meeting audio + microphone, then Start recording. Press ⌘⇧F to finish.
Open the drawer, tap + next to Recordings. Tap Finish recording when you're done.
Press ⌘⇧R, choose a source, then Start recording.
Open the meeting's tab, click the Gelim icon, then Record.
Gelim saves the audio on your device first, then sends it: Saved on this device · Audio sent · Transcript · Actions. When the transcript is ready, run Meeting minutes in the Actions tab, or choose Chat about this.
6. Try the launcher or the keyboard
Select some text in any app and press ⌘Space. Type ss to summarize it, or press ⌘8 to chat about it. Press ⌘⏎ to insert the answer where you were typing.
Open Settings → Keyboard, follow the four steps, then tap Try it here.
Next steps
- The launcher: everything one key away on your Mac.
- Set up the keyboard: Gelim in every app on your iPhone.
- Recordings: transcripts, actions and sharing.
