Ask about a photo

A sign you can't read, a plant you don't know, a label in another language: take a photo with Gelim's camera and ask about it straight away.

What you need

  • Gelim for iPhone, signed in.
  • Camera access for Gelim. Gelim asks the first time; you can change it in iOS Settings → Gelim → Camera.

1. Add the Gelim camera shortcut

Add Gelim camera: open this link on your iPhone, or tap Add Gelim camera in Gelim's Settings → Integrations. Shortcuts shows the shortcut; tap Add Shortcut.

Then put it on a button:

  • Action button: iOS Settings → Action Button, swipe to Shortcut, tap Choose a Shortcut…, then Gelim camera.
  • Back Tap: iOS Settings → Accessibility → Touch → Back Tap → Double Tap (or Triple Tap), then Gelim camera.

2. Take the photo

Press the Action button, or tap the back of your iPhone. Gelim opens its camera.

These are your iPhone actions: change them, switch them off or add your own in Settings → Actions → iPhone. Or type your own question. Each one starts an ordinary chat with the photo, listed under Today and on your Mac too.

If the camera doesn't open

If you turned camera access off, Gelim says Gelim can't use the camera. Tap Open Settings, turn on Camera, and run the shortcut again.
