Gelim for Chrome

Gelim for Chrome records the tab you're in — a Google Meet, a Teams call, a webinar — together with your microphone. The audio is saved on your computer first and uploaded in verified parts, and the transcript appears in Gelim on every device.

What you need

  • Google Chrome on a computer.
  • A Gelim Account with credit for live text.

1. Install the extension

Go to gelim.ai/chrome and choose Add to Chrome. Pin Gelim to the toolbar from the puzzle-piece menu so it's one click away.

2. Sign in

Click the Gelim icon and choose Sign in with your Gelim Account. A sign-in window opens; the extension never sees your password.

3. Allow your microphone (optional)

Click the gear in the popup to open Settings, then Allow microphone access. Chrome asks once. Without it, you can still record the tab's audio.

4. Record a meeting

Open the meeting's tab and click the Gelim icon. The popup recognises Google Meet and Teams, and names the tab. Check Recording title and Include my microphone, then choose Record.

5. Finish

Click the icon again and choose Finish. You'll see Saved · transcribing; choose Open in Gelim to read the transcript.

What you'll see

While recording, the icon's centre turns red, and the popup shows the timer, how much is uploaded, and Pause. You can close the popup; recording continues. A red badge counts recordings not yet finished uploading.
