Gelim for Mac

2.1.17 — 21 October 2026

  • Copied links are kept: a link copied with a share sheet's Copy or Safari's Copy Link appears in your clipboard history as a link, and reaches your other devices, every time.

2.1.16 — 21 October 2026

  • Canvas matches the rest of Gelim: the Canvas page and its cards sit on the same background as Chat and Recordings, in light and dark, instead of a warmer beige.
  • Mark-up after Copy: a new capture with mark-up always opens its window, even when the last one was left open after Copy. The window left open closes.

2.1.15 — 21 October 2026

  • Settings → Appearance says what Follow system does: it switches with macOS's Light, Dark or Auto appearance. Night Shift only warms the colours, so it doesn't switch Gelim, or any other app.

2.1.14 — 20 October 2026

  • Walkthroughs over a folder finish: a canvas walkthrough that reads a folder on this Mac no longer stops at its outline with Needs attention. If one stopped, start the walkthrough again after updating.
  • Activity says when a folder question needs attention, instead of showing it as waiting for a slot.

2.1.13 — 20 October 2026

  • Emojis land where you were typing: in Obsidian, an emoji or symbol chosen with the cursor at the end of a line no longer appears at the start of the next line.
  • Back to your app on esc: closing the launcher with esc or the launcher key puts you back in the app you came from, the cursor where it was, so you can keep typing.
  • Insert from the launcher's Chat: ⌘⏎ puts the answer into your app again; it used to close the launcher and insert nothing.

2.1.12 — 20 October 2026

  • Recordings open at once: your list appears as soon as Gelim opens, as you last saw it, then updates when your account answers; this Mac's recordings follow without holding the window.

2.1.11 — 20 October 2026

  • Copy takes the whole transcript: a recording's Copy and Download read every passage, whatever you choose, never an empty or partial meeting, and Copied shows each time you copy, also under action results.
  • New recording remembers whether you turned Live translation on, and your microphone while it's connected.
  • Chats in the sidebar opens a new chat, as Canvases and Recordings open their pages.

2.1.10 — 18 October 2026

  • No stray new line: choosing an emoji, a symbol, a clipboard item or a result with ⏎ inserts only that, even in apps like Obsidian that used to get the ⏎ too.

2.1.9 — 18 October 2026

  • Action results: Share, Copy, Run again and Insert stay at the bottom of the result, however long it is; only the text scrolls.

2.1.8 — 18 October 2026

  • Two-letter codes run at once again: type an action's code in the launcher and it runs straight away; an app opens only when no code matches.
  • Capture an area, your way: choose a key combination, Double Shift or Double Control for Capture an area and for Capture and mark up in Settings → Shortcuts. The mark-up window has Copy for the picture as it is, and Send to Gelim.
  • Uploads that recover by themselves: if a recording's upload stops, Gelim retries every 30 seconds, and Retry upload sits right beside the message.
  • Action results read as formatted text, and each ends with Share, Copy and Run again.
  • The sidebar shows each item's kind with an icon in the full list, and always lists today's recordings.
  • Updates show up within the hour.
  • Imports: audio and video files up to 4 hours.
  • Canvases: the model menu lists your models again.
  • Share remembers your choices: a recording's export starts with your last format, speaker names, timestamps and translations.
  • Plain words when an upload stops: "Upload stopped. The audio is safe on this Mac." with Retry upload, never a server code; Recover uploads is now Retry upload.
  • Fewer notes on screen: explanations sit behind an ⓘ button, and New recording's two sources are the same size.

2.1.7 — 18 October 2026

  • Actions on one page: All, Meetings, Mac, Keyboard and iPhone; each action is from Gelim, your team or you, and can be edited, duplicated to another place, or reset to the original. Your action shortcuts live in your account.
  • Quieter windows: no labels in the bottom bar.
  • In the window's chat: ⌘. stops the answer and ⌘⏎ inserts the last one.
  • Recording on two devices: Gelim says where the other recording is and offers to open it or record here anyway.
  • Public links no longer expire.
  • One menu for every item in the sidebar.
