Is there a subscription?
No. Gelim is free to install, and what you use is charged to the credit in your Gelim Account. Buying credit opens at launch. See Credit and usage.
What's a Gelim Account?
The one account behind Gelim, like an Apple ID: sign-in, credit, models, teams and devices. You manage it at account.gelim.ai. See Your Gelim Account.
Do my chats show up on my other devices?
Yes. Chats, canvases and recordings are saved to your Gelim Account and open on your Mac, iPhone and the web. Recordings that haven't been sent yet stay on the device that made them until they upload.
Which model answers me?
Automatic picks one for each job, and the answer says which: Automatic → ‹model›. You can choose one yourself, or hide the ones you don't want. See Models.
Can Gelim see what's on my screen?
Only what you give it. On the Mac, chips offer your selection, Finder selection or browser page, and ⌥Tab captures only the area you select; nothing is sent until you attach it and press send. You choose which apps it may read in Settings → Integrations. See Integrations.
What happens to my recordings' audio?
It's saved on your device first, then sent and transcribed. Your account keeps the audio for 30 days after the transcript is ready; the transcript, translations and actions stay. See Recordings.
Can I record without a connection?
Yes, on the Mac, the iPhone, the web and in Chrome. Choose Record offline, or just keep recording when the connection drops: the audio keeps saving and uploads later. See Troubleshooting.
Does the keyboard send everything I type?
No. Typing never leaves your iPhone. The keyboard sends text only when you tap an action — your selection, or up to 700 characters around the cursor — or send a message in its chat. See Actions in the keyboard.
Why does the keyboard need Full Access?
iOS requires Full Access for any keyboard to reach the internet. Actions, chat and clips from your other devices need it; typing doesn't. See Set up the keyboard.
Is the cloud clipboard on?
Not until you turn it on, on each device. It never sends passwords, one-time codes or files. See Cloud clipboard.
Can I get my data out?
Export any recording's transcript as Markdown, Text or JSON, and any canvas as Markdown or a ZIP. For a copy of everything, write to hi@gelim.ai. See Privacy.
Can I use Gelim with my team?
Yes. A team shares one plan and credit, with roles and Microsoft sign-in. Opening a team comes at launch. See Personal or team.
Can I dictate?
Gelim has no Dictate button yet. Your Mac's and iPhone's own dictation work in Gelim's text fields.
