Calculator
Work something out without opening another app, then insert the result into what you're writing.
1. Open the Calculator
Press ⌘Space, then ⌘7.
2. Type the sum
Type it with the keyboard, such as (12.5 + 7) * 3, or click the keys. Press 2nd for more functions.
3. Calculate and insert
Press ⏎ for the result. Press ⌘⏎ to insert it into the app you came from, or choose Copy result.
What it does
Arithmetic, powers, percentages, factorials and brackets; sine, cosine and tangent with their inverses and hyperbolic forms; logarithms; roots; π and e; scientific notation; random numbers; Rad or Deg; and memory keys mc, m+, m−, mr.

Open Calculation history in the sidebar to see your last 100 calculations, kept between launches. Clear empties it.
