Cloud clipboard
Copy text or an image on your Mac and paste it on your iPhone — or the other way round, or in a browser. The cloud clipboard is off until you turn it on, and it never carries passwords, one-time codes or files.
1. Turn it on, on each device
Settings → Clipboard → Cloud clipboard.
Settings → Clipboard → Cloud clipboard.
Settings → Clipboard → Cloud clipboard, in each browser.
2. Copy as usual
What you copy from then on goes to your Gelim Account and appears on your other devices, labelled mac, iphone or browser.
3. Paste it elsewhere
Press ⌘⇧V for the launcher's Clipboard tab. Choose All devices, pick the item, press ⏎. (More)
In the Gelim keyboard, tap Clipboard, then a chip. In a chat, Context → From the clipboard. (More)
Click Clipboard in the header and Copy the item. (More)
What's sent, and what isn't
| Sent | Never sent |
|---|---|
| Text (formatted text as plain text) | Passwords and anything your password manager marks private |
| Images (PNG, JPEG, HEIC) up to 20 MB | One-time codes |
| Files |
An item that stayed on one device says Only on this Mac (or iPhone).
Limits and notes
- Your account keeps the newest 100 MB; older items go by themselves. Storage is free for now.
- Delete everywhere (or Clear all devices…) removes items on every device at once.
- Each device also keeps its own history: 200 items on the Mac, 20 in the iPhone keyboard, whether or not the cloud clipboard is on.
- Clips are sealed with a key of your own. Gelim sees counts and sizes, never content.
Next steps
- Clipboard history on the Mac: search and paste.
- Devices: name your devices.
